Dear friends! We invite you to the annual Dobro Fall Festival, a celebration of Russian-speaking culture, taking place on November 1, 2026, in Austin!

“Dobro,” which means “kindness” in Russian, is a celebration of friendship, creativity, and cultural traditions that brings together families, friends, and the Austin community. We gather to enjoy music, share delicious food, discover the work of talented artisans, and spend a beautiful fall afternoon together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Everyone who appreciates art, music, great food, new friendships, and family celebrations is welcome!

What to Expect at Dobro Festival 2026

Live Music and Entertainment. Enjoy performances by musicians and artists that will create a festive atmosphere. Music has always been a central part of Dobro, bringing together performers and audiences of all generations.

Artisan Market and Handmade Crafts. Discover the creativity of local artists and craftspeople. Browse and purchase unique handmade items, jewelry, gifts, and souvenirs.

Food Court and Delicious Treats. A variety of food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the festival. In previous years, traditional favorites such as plov, pirozhki, vareniki, homemade pastries, and other specialty dishes have been especially popular.

Children’s Entertainment and Family Activities. A special entertainment program will be organized for our youngest guests. Dobro has always placed particular emphasis on children, providing opportunities to play, make friends, participate in creative activities, and discover cultural traditions.

History of the Dobro Festival

The first Dobro Festival took place on October 17, 2021, in Lockhart, Texas. It was organized by the Russian Cultural Center in Austin and St. Andrew the First-Called Orthodox Church in Lockhart. The inaugural festival featured musical performances, an artisan market, traditional food, and children’s entertainment.

Since then, Dobro has become an annual fall tradition for the Russian-speaking community of Central Texas. Over the years, the festival has featured concerts, children’s theatrical performances, creative workshops, traditional games, and exhibitions by local artisans.

In 2024, the festival welcomed more than 600 visitors. Its concert program, artisan market, traditional cuisine, and children’s activities once again created the atmosphere of a wonderful family celebration.

The festival’s central mission remains unchanged: to preserve cultural traditions, introduce them to new generations, and bring people together through creativity, hospitality, and kindness.
