The Russian Festival “Dobro” was organized on October 17, 2021 by the Russian Cultural Center (russianaustin.com) and St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Lockhart, Texas (orthodoxlockhart.org).
The parking lot near the church was transformed into a little Russian square with a Russian antique car, food vendors, children’s carnival, live music, and art and crafts for sale. The Festival featured fun for the whole family. Visitors enjoyed live entertainment, a cultural exhibit, a variety of delicious and authentic Russian cuisine specialties as well as time of prayer and church fellowship.
We would like to thank everyone who joined us in celebrating the Pokrov Day and Russian culture on October 17th, 2021 at noon at St. Andrew Russian Orthodox Church (205B S Main St, Lockhart, TX 78644).
Festivities included:
– Food stands
– Art bazar
– Live concert with Russian songs and dances
– Lessons in Russian folk craft
– Kid’s corner with toys and activities
– Fun photo zone
We hope to continue holding Russian Fall Festivals as an annual event.
