We invite you to join us at the Summer Camp held at the Russian Cultural Center in Austin. The activities are 50% in Russian and 50% in English. Our 13-15 years old students act as camp counselors (all of them are bilingual). Summer camp is held Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm in the Russian Cultural Center building, located right next to Zilker Park. We have a bus that is going to Round Rock (weekly route depends on the home locations of those who sign up, there are designated 2-3 pickup locations in Round Rock). The bus will pick up children at 7:45-8:15 am in Round Rock and bring them to the Russian Cultural Center, as well as drop off the children at the same locations in the afternoon at around 5-5:30 pm.

If a second child attends, they will receive a discount – 10% (coupon code: RCC10), and a third child 20% (coupon code: RCC20).
You are able to sign up to attend specific weeks, or for an individual week of choice. Camp began June 7th (till August 20, 2021) and will be in session 9 am to 5 pm daily (Monday-Friday). Certain days will have an additional program: parents night out (6 pm to 9 pm).
The theme of our summer camp is – adventure. This summer we are exploring 12 different countries. We have learned about their culture, geography, and stories as well as cover the basics of their language. We are also doing art projects inspired by the countries we will be learning about. Every day there are art and dance classes, spending time in nature and putting on plays. At the end of each week, children create a stand about the country they study and a showcase of their works. We also have a daily Science Class with interactive events conducting experiments (for example, children perform their own DNA isolation) and engaging with the mobile planetarium that is part of the academic program of Russian Summer Camp.
There are 10 spaces available for children 5-8 years old and 20 spaces for children 9 and older. At the camp, there are child counselors aged 13-15 years old. If your teenager is interested in being a counselor, please let us know.

– Who works at the Russian Cultural Center, and how is it organized?
All the academic work at the school is run exclusively through volunteers; 100% of payment goes towards the rent of the building, required materials, and to pay the teachers. Our teachers – amazing people and real professionals in their field. Of course, the school really needs volunteers to help and organize. Please contact us if you wish to support the work of the center in the summer camp or the general operation of the center.
– What is the Russian Cultural Center in Austin?
The Russian Cultural Center (RussianAustin.com) is a non-profit project aimed at uniting and promoting Russian-speaking culture in the city of Austin, Texas. The center received the status of a non-profit organization, 503(c)(3) in 2020. We do our best to hold many events, organize exhibitions, celebrations, and concerts. Successfully completed projects from the Center include: the printing of the journal Русский Остин, this website (contains many interviews of Russian-speaking residents of the city and other useful resources), online school Sputnik, and virtual Prolongation of Virtual Cubs in Russian. In our upcoming plans: continuing development of the Russian school Sputnik. The center continues to develop online resources and organizes events for the engagement and support of our community. It is important to note that the Center is focused on promoting and uniting the cultures of Russian-speaking countries and popularizing our culture in the United States.
