Spring and Summer 2020 have been difficult due to the coronavirus pandemic. To support our students, parents, and teachers, the Austin Russian School opened a free summer camp (a virtual camp with meetings in the park at the end of the week – for those who wish). The summer program included Russian language lessons that children already love, science, theatre, and drawing. Additionally, there were daily quests and breaks for entertainment. There was also time for communication. Many parents, as well as other members of the Russian community, volunteered to share their talents with the children. During the camp, there were trips to the zoo and parks, makeup and cooking classes, a computer games club, and many other activities. The camp started on June 8, 2020.
